| Makena Landing Beach Park is the first beach located along Makena Road. The beach was struck by a storm in 1999. The runoff caused unusually cloudy water conditions which killed the coral reef. Four beaches along Makena Road are often referred to as Makena Beach. |

| DIRECTIONS: Take Makena Alanui south from Wailea approximately 2 ½ miles. Turn right on Makena Road. Makena Landing Beach Park is the first beach on the right side of the road. |
