1,100 feet up the cool slopes of
Haleakala, one hour from the
Crater. This is an enjoyable
course for a budget golfer. The
course is tree-lined with thick
lush country grass in the
fairways. Your ball sits up nice
and high for easy approach
shots. Only course in Hawaii
with no fairway bunkers for
easy driving, but lots of nice
mature Norfolk pines. It's 5
degrees cooler and less humid
than the coastal areas. A fun
course, but best to play before
11am as the tradewinds blow
in the afternoon. Pukalani
means "hole in the sky."
